Martin Partner News: Maxedia PRO and Maxedia Broadcast available in new format

Following the trend of using media servers in permanent installations such as clubs, arenas, stadiums, malls, etc., we are happy to announce two new variants of the Maxedia PRO and Maxedia Broadcast.

The new variants are called Maxedia PRO RM and Maxedia Broadcast RM.

These new versions come without a flightcase or I/O box.

Why these new variants?
Because the Maxedia is often used in installations and the flightcase is simply not needed. This means extra costs, is less competitive, and a waste of material.

With the new Maxedia PRO RM and Maxedia Broadcast RM we can be competitive with other media servers on the market and deliver a high quality media server without unneeded hardware.

The RM versions will also help us remain competitive with other media servers as most media server manufacturers do not include flightcase, I/O box, and other accessories in their prices.

What’s in the box?
• 1 Maxedia PRO RM or Maxedia Broadcast RM
• 1 IEC AC cable

Hardware Q&A
Q: Can I order the Maxedia I/O box and cables separately?
A: Yes, the Maxedia I/O box and the Centronic I/O box cable are available as products. See below for the complete list of accessories.

Q: Why should I use a Maxedia I/O box?
A: Although the Maxedia can work without it, the I/O box is an important part of the Maxedia system. It functions as a connection interface between the PC and external components and provides better connections and protection against overvoltage and sparks. If the system is to be plugged and unplugged regularly, we strongly suggest use of the Maxedia I/O box.

Q: Can I use the Maxedia PRO RM or Maxedia Broadcast RM for touring?
A: The main reason for the flightcase is to protect the unit and absorb shocks. The Maxedia flightcase is particularly well designed to accomplish both of these tasks. Damage created during transport is never covered by the warranty. Using Maxedia RM in an improper flightcase may result is serious damage. So please tell your customers if they are planning to buy a Maxedia RM for touring.

Heya Paul.
Is there an ELO touch-screen that could be mounted as a drawer in a rack?

I don't think there are any touchscreens in a drawer type.
You can find rackmount ELO screens though.

It's not an ELO screen so it has no driver support in Maxedia.

There are touchscreens in drawers as we have been using them for a while. really good and no need for drivers.
Focus Technologies are making them with a ton of options.
