Hello, I am new to the Martin Controllers. We just purchased an M2Go and a Pathport Quattro. I am having a hard time getting them to talk with each other. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I should also note that I am running the most current firmware - 2.92.411.0
Press the Menu button, the navigate to the Network Tab, EtherDMX section. The first page will show any connected devices supporting auto discovery and the second page allows you to toggle Art-Net on or off; as well as control broadcast vs unicast settings.
You will also need to make sure that network adapter 2 (EtherDMX) is configured in the correct IP range - this can be done in the first section of the Network tab - settings.
Make sure the Quattro is set to receive Artnet traffic on a 255.0.0.0 subnet and a 2.x.x.x address. How do you determine that they are communicating? The device may not show in the configuration part of the M2GO, not every artnet node supports that. By default the M2GO has Artnet enabled so there is usually nothing to set up on the console.
Make sure you have enabled "receive Artnet" on the Quattro. Also important to note that Universe 1 on the Quattro is actually be universe 2 on the M2GO. The Quattro does not natively respond to Artnet Universe 0:0, which is M2GO universe 1....and my Quattro does not display in any artnet monitor except for pathport manager... At least those are the issues I've had
After messing around with the network settings between the two I got it to work. How ever the universes are still incorrect. I patch things into universe 3 and it shows up on universe 2 of the node. Anyone know how to correct that?
Only Pathport can correct this, I think on some products they have an option for this. You may want to inquire if they have a firmware update for the Quattro. Also accessing the node over the pathport manager may show an option for this.
