The rubber rest on my M1 is coming off. Any suggestions on what glue to use?

Note for others facing this problem, you should scrape ALL of the old glue off before reglueing, new glue will only hold as well as the old glue did if not removed

My solution was to use industrial strength double sided tape. It is rock solid.
