Sorry if this has been answered. Pretty sure I read it somewhere and now I can't find it.

What are the steps for updating software on M2GO ??

Thanks.

Hello Rob,

It depends how far you need to jump between SW versions.

Updating SW only (example: moving from V. 450 to 458) is done via System\Tools:

If you need to go farther, or downgrade current version, you may need a full OS install:

Our M2GO is only a month or two old. I'll have to check version #, but I don't believe we're too far behind. If it's SW only, I would just stick the file on a thumb drive and follow the steps you linked to below?

I believe you will need a V. 458 full OS install:

Please note ALL data will be wiped out from the console HD

One last question before I attempt my update this afternoon. I'll backup all the show files onto a USB stick before the update. Once done, I should be able to open the old show files with the updated software correct?

Thx.

Rob

Yes.

You can also install M-PC, and try open the files there, prior to updating the console
