hello
i run maxmodule cerbrum v2.80.374 and maxedia compact v.4.4 (127)
i use remote network 192.168.10.4 for compact and 192.168.10.3 for maxedia with a switch
base 1 layer and 4 top layers are patched on my maxmodul
dmx control is perfect but CITP doesn't work at all, there is no detection on any side....

do u have an idea?

best regards

This should work fine, I use Maxedia and M1 without issues.

In the console Maintenance menu, there'a a Clear Thumbnail function, can you try this and see if the two synch after.

Hi Paul,
I have ran into the same problem last weekend. I couldn't manage to get CITP working on a Maxxyz compact and Maxedia 4 either. But I thought I was doing something wrong and did not had the time to look for it in dept. Although I could ping both machines in both ways, Maxxyz nor Maxedia could see eachother. ArtNet was working fine (from Maxxyz -> Maxedia) and I have had no other issues whatsoever.
All machines running the latest release software (Maxedia 4).

Greetings,

Before build 127 there was an issue with CITP, but build 4.4 127 fixes this

But Francois seems to have the issue in build 127 also.

Hmm. Apparently I am using 4.4 build 122.0
I'll upgrade this machine to build 127 and keep you posted...
Have a nice weekend!

OK guys,
I upgraded Maxedia to build 127 and now my CITP is working nicely! I don't use any router/switch and use straight cables (if you use a Maxxyz classic / Maxxyz Plus: don't forget to use a crossed cable...) I gave Maxxyz Compact and Maxedia a fixed IP address in the range of 192.168.1.x (255.0.0.0) and they discovered eachother in a second!
During the weekend, I started the system several times and did not get any connection / CITP problems at all.
Greetings,

If the CIPT doesn't work, I advice to uninstall first. Reboot and re-install the version. As the CITP service might not install right after an upgrade without uninstalling first.

here is what the way problem was solved:
Xavier, Quenn's club Light Jockey tried to create a new network using windows tool " create a new network".....and it was a success... don't ask me why, how, which God he prays or what offers he made to this god...
the ONLY difference is IP adress which is 192.168.1.3 instead of 192.168.10.3 (i know there is no difference....) before doing that he tried with arkaos that was immediatly detected by Max Modul Cerebrum, that means problem was on Maxedia side and not on Max Modul side.

Hi Francois,
great that it's working now!
Are you sure that your subnet mask was 255.0.0.0 before? That could have been the problem.
Greetings!

If you used 255.255.255.0, then indeed your 3 first numbers of the IP address need to match with the other IP addresses in the network.
Normally 255.255.0.0 should be enough.

I was able to Ping maxedia and modul each other. Marc, you sais it was better to uninstall, as if the network was "stucked" on a bad information. May be using Windows tool to create a local network provides same result?

Best regards ;-)

If your IP addresses were:
192.168.10.4 for compact and 192.168.1.3 for Maxedia with subnet 255.255.255.0 then they will not be able to communicate, as the 3 first numbers of the IP addresses then need to be the same, because the 255.255.255.0 masks that. With 255.255.0.0 only the first two need to match.
