Hi Guys,
Last week I'v got a power shortcut at the truss, and I lost one Universe output.
We have fixed this problem later, but what is your solution to solve this case for the future? What special units or optoisolators we do have to use for the future safe work?
Hope to hear you soon.

Thanks Paul!
Do I have to use 8 splitters for my console? What is better? 5.5 or 5.3?

If you want to protect every out, yes you need 8.

The 5.5 is the best one and it is future proof with RDM. as well as 5 pins XLR and Powercon

From Wikipedia:

Remote Device Management or RDM is a protocol enhancement to USITT DMX512 that allows bi-directional communication between a lighting or system controller and attached RDM compliant devices over a standard DMX line. This protocol will allow configuration, status monitoring, and management of these devices in such a way that does not disturb the normal operation of standard DMX512 devices that do not recognize the RDM protocol.
