Hello all,

I have a Martin P3 processor with 80 or so panels of EC20- I'd quite like a way to VNC (or similar?) into it with my iPad so I can use the quick address tool without being next to the rack. Can anyone think of a way I could do this? I have downloaded the software to my laptop in the remote hope that it might find panels, but the software seems to be offline only.

Regards,

AndyJones

Hi Andy,

I can see 2 ways of doing this:

Option 1 (Laptop + iPad):
1) Take network cable (going towards panels) out of the P3 System Controller and plug it into your laptop
2) Install P3-PC on your laptop (http://www.martin.com/service/downloadfile.asp?name=INST_P3PCSystemController_EN_A.pdf&cat=65)
3) Run P3-PC on your laptop and make sure you can "see" the panels
4) Remote-connect to your laptop from your iPad, using a remote desktop tool
5) Use your iPad to run the quick addressing tool
6) Once done, replug the network cable that runs to the panels back from the laptop into the P3 System Controller
7) Done

Option 2 (Laptop only):
1) Take network cable (going towards panels) out of P3 System Controller and plug it into a wireless router
2) Install P3-PC on your laptop (http://www.martin.com/service/downloadfile.asp?name=INST_P3PCSystemController_EN_A.pdf&cat=65)
3) Using your laptop, make a wireless connection with the wireless router, run P3-PC and make sure you can "see" the panels (wirelessly)
4) Use your laptop to run the quick addressing tool
6) Once done, replug the network cable that runs to the panels back from the wireless router into the P3 System Controller
7) Done

Wouter, I knew you'd know a way!!!

Shame we don't have specific iPad apps like we do with Controllers... Hint! ;)

Thanks.
