Hello guys,

I've uploaded a package file, which will allow M-Series users to connect a Behringer BCF2000 MIDI wing (http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/BCF2000.aspx) to M-PC and M-Series consoles.

All necessary files, including the BCF2000 drivers, MIDI-OX, M-Series & MSD shows, and a Quick Start guide, are posted here:

ftp://ftp.martin.dk/Controller/UPLOAD/Maxxyz/BCF-2000

This is an initial guide. A more in depth document will follow

Have fun!

Your comments are welcome :-)

Wow that is nice man!
Would it also be possible to make something with fingers? That would be so awesome.

Hi,

ASAIK, Fingers does not support MIDI, but rather a parallel communication, so, not possible to my knowledge

That is true but there are software packages that convert rs232 signal to midi, it can be used via that way.

Edit:
This one for example:http://projectgus.github.com/hairless-midiserial/

Hi,

That's nice.

As I don't have a Fingers for testing this, maybe someone who has one, can test if it actually work

Well, i have fingers.
I am busy making a little program to read the protocol and port it to midi or i hope there is a way i can communicate with M-PC. It would be nice if you can use the wheels for parameters for example and the faders at button A for playback. And the faders at button B and C for the the playback faders for example.

Hope there is a possibility to do that?

Hi There and Happy New Year to All!

I try to use BCF-2000 with Maxxyz(Plus)rev2.92.411 Everything is ok, except the delay from half to second :(
Especially when use BCF faders, during the smooth move on the fader, maxxyz make it stepper.
Any idea?
Best Regards!

Hi,

I saw this also with a MAXXYZ Compact. Seems like this is hardware related...

is there a way to midi learn the BCF to trigger the fader buttons versus just the go/release/other specific commands..

Off course. The BCF2000 is fully programmable

I did all 3 MIDI presets from scratch, then matched them in M-PC

It's a bit of a process, but can be done. Read the BCF2000 manual for details

BTW, what do you mean by 'Fader Buttons'??

well on the preset sheets you have made, you only have go/release etc, and from reading in the manual you only have a handful of commands...so by fader buttons, i mean the customisable buttons of the 10 playback faders. am i making any sense...im sorry if im not im just super tired right now...

Hi,

Most (but not all) common fader key commands are implemented via MIDI:

Preset 2+3 of my BCF2000 mapping include 3 basic key command per fader:
1. Release (via encoder press)
2. GO
3. Flash

You can change the relevant key command in the MIDI Map cuelist, to map a different MIDI command to the BCF2000 keys, but the available missing command is Pause\Back

ok. so i can only assign specific function/commands, not be a button. for example. on touch OSC (which is a great layout by the way) the buttons on the fader page relate to the button and function on the console regardless of what command you set to it. is this possible to set it up like this?

Can the rotary knobs be used to control the parameters?

i just want to see how much function i can get out of this. i have also just received a USB DUO DMX Infterface. and was looking at this as another control option, other than my M2PC for when that gets rented out, i have this as a backup...
