Include what firmware version is in the Ether2DMX8
P.S. the latest software M-Series is 2.92.411. if you are still on build 380 as your signature is saying, you should upgrade. The ETher2DMX8 will require the latest firmware to work with build 411.
There are two ether2dmx8s (primary/backup) one is node A 2.25.106.1 node B 2.25.106.21
one is node A 2.25.106.2 node B 2.25.106.22
both got a factory reset before the IP address was assigned, and both were set to factory default MX Output Universe 9-16.
one responds correctly to the network in all ways the other has the problem as described above- i.e. no matter what i do, ports 5 and 6 are set to disabled. and when i go into DMX config, I cannot select port 5 and 6.
I'm assuming that means the internal module is fried in some way shape or form, but I figured it was worth putting in a request for suggestions..
Ports 5 and 6 probably lost their assignment during a firmware update. Email us at the controllersupport address and we can send you some info how to call up a little tool to relearn the 1-8 assignment of the ports.
Hi, please note that on the service pages of the Ether2DMX8 box, I have put a procedure to assign the DMX ports of the Ether2DMX8 box. Let me know if you need further assistance.
