Hi, I come back to you for a new problem. When I add a new device, the channels aren't assigned. My problem is that there is no group to which assigned. How do you do? |

Hey there,
When you say they are not assigned do you mean they are not patched to a DMX Universe and Channel. If so, you can patch them in two ways.
First, you can click on any of the two boxes next to the fixture type in the patch screen. the two boxes are Universe and Address. Once they are highlighted red, you can type in the data to address them. You can manually change any data in the patch screen by clicking the box you want to change, and when it turns red, typing in new data.
The second is to use the command line. Type your fixture number, the "@" key followed by the address. if you want to specify universe use the "/" key. Example would be Fixture "101" @ "1" (channel) / "2" (Universe).
There is also an auto patch feature in the choose type screen.
Hope i could help. |

That isn't my problem. In fact, when I add a new device (a single channel by exemple) it shows me this:
My concern is that I can't assign the "intensity" since there is no group to which attribute. What to do? |

It seems like the SQL Server data base is messed up.
Try loading a different show, like the default 'Training' show, or uninstall and re-install M-PC |

Does anyone know what group the Mode channel belongs in? I'm guessing it's being generated either from my ancient SCX500s or MAC 300s. |

Hi,
Either one does have have a Mode channel, so it is generated by another profile in your show
I usually set a Mode channel in the Beam Effects preset. |

The only other profiles in the show are American DJ P64 LED and a Chauvet hazer. Any particular reason you put Mode in the beam effects group? |

It is associated with the ADJ P64 LED profile:

Setting channels to preset type, is really a mater of personal preffernece
There is no right or wrong manner. For me, a fixture Mode, is mostly resembles a Control channel, which is always associated with the Beam Effects preset. Also, as I see it, the Beam Effects host the less needed and less defined attributes, unlike the main 5 attribute presets (Intensity, PT, Color, Gobo & Beam) |
