One of my programmers had a problem with his submaster lists this weekend. Rarely when he brought a submaster up from zero, it would not activate. None of the lights would come up, and the cuelist indicator light would blink as if it was a fader at an incorrect value for the board. Thoughts? I'm going to check out the board myself this afternoon, but this seems like a really odd problem.

I've been testing this, and it is very difficult to replicate. So far I have only gotten it to happen on two specific faders. To further complicate the problem, it only seems to happen when the cuelist type is set to submaster. I haven't been able to get it to happen with any other type (cuelist, override, etc). Could this be a bad physical fader?

Forgot to mention, this is on an M1, running the latest stable release 3.22.458.

did you try updating the firmware? if the firmware version is the same, update it anyway. this has fixed some random glitches that i have had on the M1...

I redownloaded the software, and after reinstalling, also redid the firmware (which was previously up to date). The problem still persists. With more testing, I have verified that this only happens with submaster type cue lists, not any other type, regardless of settings. It only seems to happen 1 in a hundred times, but we are noticing it happen at least once a show. Is this a bug that has been logged? I haven't seen a reference to it anywhere else.

So I came across the same problem when trying to control fixtures speed for FX, A lot of time I had to move the fader to the very top(When it was at the bottom of the Fader) to activate it and then set it where I want.

Try doing that. also check to see if the settings under "Function Assignments" have "UP +GO" selected.

Let us know if that works and if it doesn't tell us a little more about what was being programmed, FX, Colors, Positions...
