Hi folks....very glad to be here. Big fan of Martin gear.
Ive just purchased 4 old 812s.
2 are working great as far as i can see.
1 of them the mirror will not move up and down as much as the others.Checking the forums i see that it may be the tilt wire set/loom, which I've just purchased in the hope its an easy swap out!!
The other, well apart from the mirror being broken - which is a part I've ordered - the colour stays blue all the time?????

Im not sure if i should open it up and see if the wheel is simply stuck or do i order a gobo wheel or a colour wheel??

I really haven't a clue so any help greatly appreciated.
Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum!!

For your tilt wire, it's really common for the wires to break inside the wireloom. You can find a replacement and swap it out pretty easily. Or get yourself an AMP tool. The wires in the 812 tilt are usually long enough that you can take them out of the loom, cut the bad section out, and push the wires back down into the molex connector. I have been able to do this once with all my 812's (30 of them).

For the color, you need to open up the front cover and see if the color wheel is turning while the fixture is powering on and resetting. From there, that will determine what might be wrong. Post back once you can confirm if the wheel turns at all.
